This Privacy Policy describes how The Daisy Edit, Inc. (“Daisy,” “The Daisy Edit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with our websites (including thedaisyedit.com and other websites we operate, collectively, the “Site”), consumer app, DAISY profile features, style quizzes, subscriptions, email communications, merchant-facing services, and the DAISY Profile Shopify application and app installed on participating merchant storefronts (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy applies to: (a) individuals who visit thedaisyedit.com or other Daisy websites; (b) individuals who create or use a Daisy account, profile, quiz, subscription, closet, wishlist, or recommendation experience; (c) shoppers who interact with a DAISY-powered app on a participating merchant’s Shopify storefront; and (d) merchants and merchant personnel who install, access, administer, or communicate with Daisy regarding the DAISY Profile Shopify app.
This Privacy Policy applies to information that you provide to Daisy on our Site, in our consumer app, in your Daisy account or profile, or through a DAISY-powered app. Other information may also be generated or processed when the app operates on a merchant storefront, such as Shopify customer IDs, limited order line-item data, app events, and technical data, as described below.
This Privacy Policy does not replace a participating merchant’s own privacy policy or terms. If you buy products from a merchant, the merchant is responsible for its own store, checkout, orders, shipping, returns, and privacy practices. Daisy is not the merchant of record for products sold by participating merchants.
The DAISY Profile Shopify app is designed to help participating merchants offer shoppers a DAISY-powered style quiz, profile connection, and product recommendation experience. The app may display “Powered by DAISY” or similar attribution. If a shopper chooses to save or connect a Daisy profile, Daisy may use the shopper’s Daisy profile to personalize recommendations across Daisy’s consumer experience and participating merchant stores, as described in this Privacy Policy and the applicable Daisy Terms of Service.
For the Shopify app, Daisy does not provide a merchant with another merchant’s individual shopper transaction data. Each merchant receives only information and reporting about that merchant’s own store and Daisy-attributed activity for that merchant, together with limited aggregate style or performance information as described below.
This category includes information you provide directly to Daisy through the Site, the consumer app, a Daisy account or profile, a Daisy subscription or email sign-up, or a DAISY-powered app on a participating merchant storefront. It may include:
When you interact with a DAISY-powered app on a participating merchant’s Shopify storefront, Daisy may generate or process additional information needed to operate the app, connect your Daisy profile, provide recommendations, attribute Daisy-driven activity, maintain security, and process privacy requests. This information may include:
Certain Shopify webhooks may include customer email, name, billing address, or shipping address. While Daisy’s app may read data from those webhooks, we do not store that information.
If you are a merchant or merchant representative, we may collect merchant account and contact information, installation and configuration information, communications with Daisy, Shopify store identifiers, app usage information, product catalog data, product titles, descriptions, images, categories, prices, merchant performance metrics, support information, and other information needed to provide, secure, administer, and support the DAISY Profile Shopify app.
The Shopify app does not collect payment card data, precise location, GPS location, ZIP code, age, date of birth, photos, health data, marketing email or SMS opt-ins, advertising/retargeting tags, body measurements or clothing sizes. Purchase line-item variants received from Shopify may include merchant-defined variant descriptors, such as size or color, if those descriptors are part of the merchant’s product data.
We use information for the following purposes:
Participating merchants may receive merchant-specific reporting and exports about their own stores, including aggregate style and body-type breakdowns, aggregate performance metrics such as click-through, conversion, return rate, and Daisy-attributed revenue, and a per-shopper CSV row for their own store that may include Daisy user ID, Daisy display name, style words, body type, and total spend at that merchant’s store attributed to Daisy.
Merchants are not provided with another merchant’s individual shopper transaction data. In the current app design, a merchant does not see a shopper’s purchases at other stores, closet or wishlist contents, colors, fabrics, full brand list, lifestyle answers, Saturday outfit choice, icons, fit pills, avoid notes, name, email, phone number, address, or payment data.
We may disclose information as follows:
Daisy’s subprocessors and service providers may include AWS for compute, storage, logs, secrets, and TLS termination; AWS Cognito for shopper authentication; AWS Bedrock for merchant catalog attribute extraction; PostHog (US Cloud) for product analytics; Shopify for storefront platform and webhook delivery; Google and Apple for optional federated sign-in; Atlassian Jira and support email providers for merchant support; and other providers that support the Services. Daisy may update its subprocessor list from time to time.
We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies to keep sessions working, remember preferences, measure app performance, analyze usage, secure the Services, and provide recommendations. On participating Shopify storefronts, Daisy’s app may rely on Shopify privacy settings, Shopify consent tooling, the merchant’s consent-management implementation, and other signals made available through the Shopify platform. Merchants are responsible for configuring their own storefront notices, privacy settings, and consent mechanisms as required by law and their agreement with Daisy.
Some browsers offer Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. We will process such signals where required by applicable law and where technically supported by the applicable Daisy or merchant surface. Because the DAISY app appears on merchant storefronts, some privacy signals may be received, configured, or passed to Daisy by the merchant or Shopify.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and support legitimate business needs.
Daisy profiles: Your Daisy style profile and related Daisy account information is retained for as long as you have an account with us and may persist across participating merchant stores until you delete the profile/account or request deletion, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
Shop-scoped data: Shop-scoped data is deleted after app uninstall or shop-redact events as required by Shopify requirements and applicable law, generally within 30 days and often sooner where technically implemented.
Deleting Shopify-related Daisy data may not automatically delete a separate Daisy consumer account or profile unless Daisy’s systems support that propagation or you separately request deletion of the Daisy account/profile. You may contact us using the information below to request deletion of your Daisy profile or account.
Depending on where you live and how you use the Services, you may have rights to request access to, deletion of, correction of, or portability of your personal information; to withdraw consent; to object to or opt out of certain processing; to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information; to limit use of sensitive personal information; or to appeal a decision about a privacy request.
To submit a request, please contact us at Info@TheDaisyEdit.com. We may need to verify your identity or authority before fulfilling a request. If your request relates to a merchant transaction, order, shipping, return, or the merchant’s own collection of your data, we may direct you to the merchant or coordinate with the merchant as appropriate. If your request is submitted through Shopify, we will process it through the applicable Shopify privacy webhook where technically supported and legally required.
If you do not want to connect your Daisy profile to a participating merchant store, do not connect your Daisy account in the app or use the available disconnect feature. If you want Daisy to delete your underlying Daisy profile or account, please use the account deletion feature if available or contact us.
This section supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy for residents of U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws. The categories of personal information we may collect include identifiers; commercial information; internet or electronic network activity; approximate geolocation derived from IP address; account/profile information; preferences and inferences; and professional or business contact information for merchants. We collect these categories from you, participating merchants, Shopify, service providers, and your interactions with the Services. We use and disclose these categories for the purposes described in Sections 4 and 6 above.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit under California law. To the extent any Daisy surface uses cookies or similar technologies that constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under applicable law, we will provide legally required notice and opt-out mechanisms as required by applicable law.
We may use de-identified, aggregated, or anonymized information as permitted by applicable law, provided that we maintain and use it without attempting to re-identify individuals except as permitted to test or validate de-identification.
Daisy is based in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. If we transfer personal information internationally, we will use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. These measures may include encryption at rest using AWS KMS, encryption in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher, least-privilege access controls, multi-factor authentication for staff, logging and monitoring, and avoiding raw personal information in application logs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by law, such as by posting the updated policy, updating the “last updated” date, sending notice to registered users, or providing notice through the Services.
